IDML
This is the main resource page for the Inherited Disease Markup Language (IDML) syntax developed to facilitate disease information storing and exchanging for any hereditary diseases.
The IDML is an Extended Markup Language (XML) specification and container for bioinformatical data on hereditary diseases.
The IDML defines a data model called fact file, which integrates biomedical information related to hereditary diseases into a Web-accessible knowledge base. The fact files were applied to build a comprehensive, validated knowledge base for immunodeficiencies (IDs) called Immunodeficiency Resource (IDR).
The XML Schema and Document Type Definition (DTD) for the IDML syntax is available as well as some preliminary examples showing the use of the syntax.
The IDML is open standard being developed by IMT Bioinformatics group.
