Bioinformatics services

B Cell proteome
Web site for proteomics studies of B cell differentiation.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/BcellProteome/

BioWAP
is a bioinformatics service for portable devices (such as mobile phones) with WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) compliance. BioWAP provides access to the major bioinformatics databases and analysis programs. BioWAP facilitates use of bioinformatics services practically anytime anywhere.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/BioWAP/

MultiDisp
is a multiple sequence alignment visualization tool that can be used to show sequence properties in several ways. The visualization schemes include graphs for coloured and property charts, identity, similarity and divergence plots as well as visualizations based on physicochemical properties.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/cgi-bin/MultiDisp.cgi

PID classification
Systematic classification of primary immunodeficiencies based on clinical, pathological and laboratory parameters.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/PID_classification/

PON-P
Pathogenic-Or-Not-Pipeline for prediction of the effects and concequences of variations. The pipeline can be used even for larger sets of variations. Results contain interpreration of the output of the individual predictions and overall summary of the pathogenety.

Prolocalizer
is a tool that contains several methods to predict the subcellular localization to altogether 11 compartments. Can be used to predict also effect of mutations.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/PROlocalizer/

PseudoGeneQuest
is an online pseudogene tool that searches for a given query sequence from human genome different types of pseudogenes as well as novel genes and gene fragments.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/PseudoGeneQuest/

RankViaContact
is a web service for calculation of residue-residue contact energies in proteins based on a coarse-grained model and for visualisation of interactions.
http://bioinf.uta.fi/RankViaContact.html

VariO
Variation Ontology, VariO, project aims at providing ontology for standardized, systematic description of effects and consequences of variations. VariO allows unambiguous description of variation effects as well as computerized analyses over databases utilizing the ontology. VariO is a position specific ontology that can be used to describe effects and consequences of variations on DNA, RNA and/or protein level, whatever is appropriate.
